Mark Dubois with Gene Ryerson, owner of Vallecito General Store

The Vallecito General Store, at the corner of Angels Rd. & Main Street, across from the post office, was the go to meeting place for many river trips in the early 1970s, as well as the place to pick up trip food. Gene, the owner, (on right, with Mark Dubois on left) was known by everyone. The store eventually burned down and a house was built on the site. Here’s the Google map location to see it now .
