View to Shark's Mouth from South Fork Stanislaus confluence

Status: Live River
By: Bruce Raley
Date: October 13, 1979
Description:

In this late fall view downstream from the South Fork confluence, you can see Shark’s Mouth clearly (a unique travertine formation amides the limestone cliffs), just above the river level, just to the lower left of center of this image. The huge limestone walls in this section show the late afternoon light.
