Description:
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, military surplus rafts were often the only choice for outfitters, before newly made river rafts were common. The 10-man raft here was extremely heavy, as it was “armored” with heavy rubber for use in war. Note the bailing bucket, a must-have before self-bailing rafts. Bob McGavern prepping his raft.
