ARTA house – Randy ‘Sparky’ Kramer repairing an Avon

Location: ARTA House
Status: Live River
By: Larry Orman
Date: July 17, 1976
Description:

The ARTA house was 14 acres just a few hundred feet from Camp 9 road, home to as many as 30 guides (and two goats) and staging center for Prop. 17 media trips. An old chicken coop was converted into a full structure in 1973, and then in 1974 a repair shop annex was built onto it. Sparky, area manager in 1976, did what all area managers do – everything.
