ARTA Yampa rafts all ready in the morning light at put-in

Location: Camp 9 Put-in
Status: Live River
By: Larry Orman
Date: June 26, 1971
Description:

Yampas were the first commercial whitewater raft, made by Rubber Fabricators in Virginia – before that, boats were all military surplus craft which were heavy with low noses (plow through waves, not over) and small tubes, and not always in great shape. Big breakthrough and a relief for the guides!
