Mousetrap at Gar Dubois' treehouse on the Stanislaus

From Gar: This is my mousetrap, baited with a walnut half… it really worked well. The mice walked passed the center of the perfectly balanced jar hoping for a tasty treat. Its weight caused the jar to fall and the jar whacked the post with its momentum, which triggered the delicately poised lid to fall and trap the mouse inside. In the morning, I’d wade across the river and free the mouse on the other side. I relocated many a mouse.
