Pump repair at put-in

Before the emergence of river pumps made out of plastic with great construction, guides had to do frequent maintenance on old military era pumps, like this one, to get them to be effective hand-pumping five or six rafts the morning of a typical trip (or topping off rafts the second morning on the Stan).
