Rafting the Stanislaus when river exposed again, USBR study

In 2016, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation conducted an environmental study for possible rafting permits on the Stanislaus when water levels were low enough in New Melones Reservoir. The studies provide background information on the river and the potential for trips when levels are low. The study was finalized in Nov. 2016, with action awating low reservoir levels and outfiitter interest. The project details are here , and a news release is here .
