ARTA trip – the scene at Camp Nine put-in, looking at Cadillac Charlie rapid

Location: Camp 9 Put-in
Status: Live River
By: Unknown
Date: July 24, 1971
Description:

A classic mix of early 1970s rafts – From left corner: a 15-man raft, a five man “assault” raft, a basket boat (former sea rescue boat), and in the back a Yampa, the first modern raft designed for river running – all the others were military surplus boats, re-purposed by outfitters for river running. Look closely at all the old gear, which didn’t stop the guides from running well, or the guests from having a great time!
