“A Guide to Three Rivers” (full book here) was the main resource for geologic, river, and cultural history of the Stanislaus, So. Fork American and Tuolumne rivers. Don Briggs took this image near the old town of Melones, which John Cassidy featured on the cover of the book (see here).
