The famous Rope Pull game on a beach on the Stanislaus River

Description:

River guides loved the “rope pull” game – set down a couple rocks (or metal ammo boxes, usually carrying personal gear) then get a throw rope and you’re ready for a very trick tug-0-war. The winner stays crouched on their box, the loser goes sprawling.  Here’s what it looks like in a modern video onshore using tree stumps!
