Upper river canyon and rapids, right above Death Rock Rapid

In this view from Camp 9 road with some moderately high water, Death Rock is visible through the opening in the trees in the middle, while Devil’s Staircase and its long tail waves is up ahead, with a raft just floating up the entry. The Stanisalus Canyon was incredibly lush along the river.
