New web site: Reuniting for the Stanislaus River – Restoring the river and our hearts

Restoring the Stanislaus River is a nonprofit devoted to using the story of the Stanislaus to help restore this magical place. Led by Sue Knaup (who in 1979 led the campaign to save wildlife in the canyon from the flooding caused by New Melones Dam, then known as Susan Brooks), this visionary effort holds the goal of restoring the ecology of this once-proud river.
