Starting on Rivers – an epic tale of guide Bernd Kutzscher’s 1971 journey to the Stanislaus River

This 15 minute video was created from a story written in 2021 by ARTA (and later ECHO) guide Bernd Kutzscher, about his adventures in becoming a white water rafting guide on the Stanislaus River. In 1971, rafting was still pretty basic – a far cry from how it became in the 1990s and onward.
