Hands across bridge protest at Parrotts Ferry Bridge, June 1979

There was a large rally at Parrott’s Ferry after the Army Corps stopped filling the dam in 1979 in response to Mark Dubois chaining himself at the edge of the rising reservoir. Parrott’s Ferry was protected, at least for that summer. In this image, prominent river activist Mary Regan, in wheelchair is in middle, Howard Levitt behind her.  Needs ID for others.
