Flowing Free – a 1979 Stanislaus movie by Bruce Raley

A 7 minute film created in the late 1970s, showcasing the Stanislaus River and including specially written folk songs. There are few film views of the Stanislaus, so this is a rare piece. Bruce’s deep love of the river drew him into fully engaging in many Stanislaus political campaigns, as well as to use his artistic ‘eye’ to capture the Stanislaus’ beauty and magic, which now grace this archive. He passed away in 2020.
