In 1982, noted photographer Jeff Nixon created an exhibit of black and white photographs of the Stanislaus River (link opens up images from this exhibit). The photos were all large format black and whites, consistent with his long history of using this medium, including working for Ansel Adams. Jeff passed away in 2022.
