June 1963 rafting trip on the Stanislaus River – coming into Otter Bar area

These two photos show the river at higher water levels. This is below Lower Rose Creek Rapid, just coming into Otter Bar, where John Vail had his Outdoors Unlimited camp. In the bottom photo, Martin Litton is rowing and Clyde Childress is in back, and has a Hasselblad camera in a plastic bag.
