Kayaker Nancy Dagle’s first run at Bailey Falls

This was my first trip. Someone said “go left”, but I had a wave in my face. Left of what??? Yes, I did hit the rock – and sprained my ankle. But it led to many, many other kayaking adventures, along with a lot of effort to save the Stanislaus and other rivers.
