Marble Quarry – aka Cataract Quarry from the air
Description:
The Cataract Quarry is right on Camp Nine Road, and the large processing building was clearly visible to everyone who drove by. At some point in the last 20 or 30 years, the quarry shut down and is now abandoned. This view from Google Earth shows the quarry and the denuded river, with Rose Creek coming in as shown.
