Morning view of the check dam at Camp 9 put-in – image 3
Description:
The check dam sat just on the other side of the Camp 9 put-in bridge (visible here) – in the mornings when releases of water would be made from the penstock above Camp 9, around 9am, the check dam would just be a wooden wall, but it would slowly top up with water and then water would overflow it, and the rafting could begin, which is what is happening in this picture.
