Skit at first FOR Confluence – "Power for Profit" – a classic

This 17 minute film shows a skit, “Power for Profits”, created for the first FOR Confluence in March 1978 at Sacramento State College. It features the battle for the Stanislaus River, with high drama as nature lovers collide with dam builders. Written and directed by Steve Cochran, the cast also includes: Gary Berlandt (introduction), Steve Cochran, Katrina Mayo-Smith, Catherine Fox (as The River), Robin and Nancy Magnusson, Debbie Dohm, Tom Burton (FOR staff scientist), Zeke Cornell, BC Rimbeaux, Craig Rieser, John Cassidy, Ronit Rieser, Bill Center, and others. The juggling cost-benefit analysis scene towards the end is not to be missed! Unfortunately, the film of the final third scene is missing.
