Description:
Row for the River was an event involving a week of paddling from Camp 9 to San Francisco’s Aquatic Park (near the FOR San Francisco office at Fort Mason). The event was to show support for Proposition 17, on the November 1974 ballot, and made front page coverage in the the Sunday edition of the San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner. This photo includes most of those who paddled the full 175 miles, plus others. Includes, from left: Steve Luke (crutches, left), Marty Booth, Larry Jacobson, Dave Westphal, Richard O’Toole, Robin Magneson (Center), Don Ahlert, Elizabeth Black. Others needs ID.
