Saturday Night Live (SNL) on the Stanislaus River!

Thomas Craig writes:  One of the most memorable Stanislaus River 2 day trips was a charter with entire Saturday Night live cast of regulars. It did get a bit crazy. When I asked if anyone was carting anything they didn’t want to get wet, they filled a 50 cal ammo box with all sorts of fun adult party stuff they wanted access to during the day.  I was head boatman and wasn’t told anything about who they were and they didn’t exactly give it up easily. They showed up at Moaning Caves in a charter bus and hit Camp Nine road. and it wasn’t until we were fixing lunch and comparing notes it all dawned on us who they were. First day lunch John (Belushi) couldn’t get out of the boat by himself. Campfire was fantastic!! That much talent in one place and being themselves was one magic night. Gilda (Radner) was priceless.  The campfire that lasted until just about daylight, then well into the next day….. What a epic trip
