Six Pack Rapid looking upstream from just above Rose Creek

Location: Six Pack Rapid
Status: Live River
By: Bill Center
Date: September 11, 1976
Description:

The short, sharp drop of Six Pack Rapid is just visible in this quiet shot of the river from just above the Rose Creek Confluence. Six Pack got its name due to many bets made that a guide couldn’t run the slot on the left and still not hit the wall just a few feet below it – losers had to agree to buy a six pack, or so the legend goes!
