Stanislaus River Canyon looking downstream from the bottom of Mother Rapid

This is a view from river left, exactly at the very bottom of Mother Rapid, with the difficult rocks at the bottom of the rapid just showing behind the waves in the image. The big eddy for Mother Camp is immediately on the other side of the waves, the camp is just behind the shore vegetation, with the huge, soaring limestone cliffs behind it. Mothers innocuous looking side curling lateral last wave flipped more rafts than any other rapid on the river.
