This the original letter crafted by Rob Caughlan asking people to sign and circulate the Proposition 17 petition to save the Stanislaus River. Over 100,000 people participated in the petition campaign which gathered 387,000 signatures, far more than required. Learn more about Prop. 17.  (Research required- I recall over 30,000 gathered signatures, thanks to Roanoke’s letter, and with 100s of other volunteers coordinated by Dennis Vierra, gathered over a 1/2 million signatures, well over enought to qualify for the ballot.  md)
