Wintertime views of Chicken Falls Rapid

Two similar views of Chicken Falls Rapid (in the foreground) with the huge gravel bar that funneled the river around a big bend, and focusing all the flow over the ledge that created the falls, at very bottom of these images. For the adventurous, Chicken Falls was a great hole to hit, though there was a calmer route just to the river right of the hole.
