If you’re adding a video or audio file to the archive you need to read this

September 03, 2018

The Stanislaus River Archive doesn’t host actual video or audio files (e.g., .mp4 or .mp3 files) – when you upload these files, they have to exist in other places which you then link to on the Stanislaus site.

Video:  Video should be stored on You Tube – if you don’t have an account, it’s easy to create one and uploading the video files is pretty easy.  Once the file is on You Tube, you can copy its web address (or the shortened URL) and then past that in the Link field in that item’s entry screen on StanislausRiver.org.

Audio:  If you have a sound recording that is not video, we are set up to accept links from SoundCloud , an online sound file storage site – learn more about how to use SoundCloud.

Both Sound Cloud and You Tube can be used for free, or you can set up paid accounts.
